Originaly a print investigative journalist and newspaper columnist, I came to WPFW because I was attracted to the idea of a news-gathering volunteer program rooted in the community.Providing high-quality programming and news, reported by those directly impacted by the gross inequalities and injustice in our society, is an important project that I feel goes to the very heart of Pacifica's mission. These are the people most capable of expressing and reporting the realities of oppression, and of giving voice to the hope that we can overcome the injustice around us.
